Okay, but give me a second here.
Bella is “clumsy”, and this is her only trait in the book, but she’s seventeen and:
- Has done ballet as a child. This is canon, she legit did ballet when she was young
- Can cook / pay bills / she pumps the gas / takes care of her mother / she’s basically the Head of her own house
- Is in advanced classes and okay, her second trait is that she likes “The Classics” and “Jane Austen” (and if you’ve studied a lick of English you’ll know that JA was like… the Head Sarcastic Honcho herself. She was that good).
How did we not get a snarky strong girl out of her?
What kind of lenses did she go through to be reduced to one (ONE!) personality trait?!
